What is A.P.T.O.? This is Atonement’s Parent-Teacher group that raises money for many school projects…some necessary, some for fun!

Who is A.P.T.O.? It’s you and me! If you are a parent of a child that attends Atonement, then you are part of this group. It’s strictly a volunteer group. You don’t need to participate, but why wouldn’t you? This is your school. You chose Atonement! Be involved and help us make Atonement a school we can all be proud of! Attending each meeting are the 4 board members: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Also attending each meeting is one of our teachers that represents the teaching staff. They bring a principal’s report and hare it with all of us. They discuss ideas and concerns from the teachers on some of the items below. And then there is you! We need YOU at the meetings! You can be involved as much as you like. Just listen if you like, ask questions if you have any, present ideas (we always need new ideas), or join a committee. There are many different ways to be involved in your school.

What do we do at an A.P.T.O. meeting? We make many decisions on events that happen at school….fundraising, books fairs, school picnic, Grandparents Day, Muffins with Mom/Donuts with Dad, etc. We make important decisions on how the money raised by A.P.T.O. should be spent, such as, library books, text books, computer needs, classroom furniture, staff support, etc. We talk, we listen, we get involved!
