Approval of Minutes

Minutes from May 12^th Meeting were approved.

 

Principal’s Report

-          Current enrollment is high

-          Ongoing technology development, digital projectors w/new science program online availability. APTO paid $1500 towards these books.

-          A motion was made for APTO to pay $1300 for Teacher conference fees, seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report

·         The treasurer’s report was reviewed and approved as is.

 

Old Business

-          Hospitality – Beth Brown prepared back to school gifts for the teachers.

 

New Business

-          Trunk or Treat

o    planning is underway for Friday October 30^th.

o    APTO approved donation of $150.00

 

-          Teacher Wish List

o    APTO would like teachers to suggest ways they might be assisted in their classrooms or with their projects.

 

-          APTO requests that staff members, that are not simply passing along information from the principal report, please notify the Board prior to a meeting when requesting funds. The last meeting of the year was very overwhelming.

 

-          Fun Days Schedule

o    Donut Hole day on Friday September 25^th. One donut hole for Pre-K 4 through 4^th and 2 donut holes for 5^th through 8^th grades. Jenna Petroff is going to donate allergy friendly cookies for students that can’t have donut holes.

 

Committee Report

-          Fall Fundraiser

o    Orders due September 18^th

o    One check per order made out to APTO

o    Pick up will be Tuesday, October 15^th in Fellowship Hall

§  Volunteers needed for sorting & distributing

 

-          Together We’re Better

o    Table is in the Narthex on Friday mornings and Sunday between services.

o    Okay to send in form & money with your child if preferred

 

-          Valley of Flowers Parade

o    Mary Schomake will Chair this event

 

-          St. Nicholas Day

o    Cayla Rainy has handled in the past

o    Should be contacted for this year’s participation

 

-          Library

o    Tracey Koch is Chair for the library this year. She has spent many hours over the summer cataloging all of the books on the new system.

o    Library hours are currently available for volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday morning (during PreK-3 class time).

o    Contact Tracey or the school office if you would like to volunteer.

 

-          Muffins w/Mom & Donuts w/Dad

o    Cayce Schuh and Nicole Crabtree will co-Chair this event

 

-          Hospitality

o    Chris Pohlman will Chair this Committee

 

-          Original Art

o    Need a Chair for this Committee

 

-          Picnic
